Thunderbird 140.7.1 i have a subfolder called "purchases" which I add to on a regular basis. Suddenly no messages appear after May 2014 I have logged in directly to the mail server, and all the missing messages are definitely on the server. I have checked the local filters, none are set. I have tried properties/repair. I have tried removing ~/.thunderbird/xxx/ImapMail/mail.myserver.com.au/INBOX.sbd/purchases.msf

Could it be a problem with dovecot indexing on the server? all the other subfolders seem to work fine. It's just this one.

Unable to write the email to the mailbox

I've been using Thunderbird on Windows 10 since last year sometime. Currently I'm on version 151.0.1.

I've 4 x mailboxes here and since yesterday, 3 of them show me an unusual message when checking for emails. I tried attaching a screenshot but although the screenshot uploaded, I couldn't find a way to insert it here. But the message says Unable to write the email to the mailbox and asks me to check if I've write privileges (which I have) and to cheek the available disk space.(currently 101GB free).

The message is happening 2 or 3 times each day and lasts for about half an hour, then everything works fine again. Has anyone else seen this??

It no longer works on updated Thunderbird, and shows it hasn't been updated since 2022. I'm on Thunderbird 140.11 on my Linux Mint. The image the plugin inserts in message bodies is broken. Is there another/similar add-on?

Please ask Thunderbird to stop making a tab on my taskbar every time I open an email. I have to close each one individually, and I never asked for these to be shown, and I don't need them shown. This is a tedious extra chore. I already have access to emails that I receive in my in box. It shows the history. I don't need any other index to them. Do you know how to stop making any other such tab or index? If not, please pass this on, and please don't say that you can't pass on this request. Someone decided to make these tabs show up on my screen and task bar, and to require me to close them by clicking on each little red X mark. I should be able to make contact with whoever makes these decisions and writes these programs, and to provide feedback and suggestions to them.

I have my email set to not allow emails from any addresses that aren't in my book. If I follow their 'unsubscribe' link, I just get more of them. Hi, Since approx. 1 month, I cannot receive nor send emails from my Windows 11 desktop computer. My ISP is Videotron and they tell me that from their end, everything is fine and the configuration is fine. If I use the Videotron Web Service, I can send and receive emails using the Videotron Web Services but these are not reflected on my Thunderbird email interface. If I try to send an email from Thinderbird, I get this message # # * * Sending of the message failed.

  1. # * * An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMTP) error. The server responded: smtp.videotron.ca Videotron ZGdcwFfPIz2we service temporarily unavailable AUP#EML-016.'

On my Android smartphone, Thunderbird is installed and it works perfectly...I can send and receive emails.

What can be done to make sure that I can send and receive emails from my computer, and to keep the smartphone and computer synchronized. Thank you

Can I delete multiple All Mail files in my Profiles directory?

I'm trying to trim down my hard drive, and I see that my Profiles folder has 2 ImapMail subfolders. In the first of them, imap-gmail, I have 14 All Mail files numbered "-1" to "-13" plus the most recent All Mail (today's date), unnumbered. Most of these All Mail files are quite large. Can I delete all of them except the most recent, unnumbered one? In the second subfolder, imap-gmail1, the files are all from before 2025, and instead of multiple "All Mail" files I have multiple "rstmp" files. What's the deal? Can I delete this whole folder? Is it a backup? Thanks for your help. FYI, I'm up to date in Windows 11 and Thunderbird, with a fairly new computer. I hope I've provided enough into. To Whom it concerns, It has been about 4-5 days since I can't receive my e-mail. I have e-mail you different times with errors coming up. When I open my mail since yesterday an error now says error with acct. cray9@oh.rr.com. Another error occurred with the POP3mail server. The mailbox closes. Then a box comes up Thunder Bird crash reporter then I can put why and then restart my e-mail. It does try to load my e-mail then stops. And now my password box doesn't come up to put my password in. Last it says connection to mail.twc.com was reset then once again the mailbox closes. Please help, I have been a customer with Thunder Bird for years. Thank you!!

I have a Yahoo.ca email address and have been using Thunderbird to retrieve my email for years. For some reason, a window now pops up to Rogers.com and they want me to log in there. This is not a Rogers email address and it is separate from Rogers. I had this issue before and this forum managed to get me back. My settings are correct. I have deleted the profile 5 times and added it back after a computer restart and still nothing.

I just had a support session and the tech was unable to solve the problem. We tried installing a new version of Thunderbird and importing the messages over from the default install and it just freezes up. He tried replacing account settings with the account settings from a previous version and that didn't work either. He suggested contacting Mozilla to see if there was a way to import messages from the frozen default to my new profile.
